There are incredible insensitive personnel working/managing the store. When I visited today, upon entering, one of the employees/volunteers had said something about a man that was making a purchase in the store. The employee/volunteer continued to make these remarks to everyone who entered the store and murmured under her breath as she went around the store. The man did seem to be experiencing some sort of hardship and did have an odor, but was a paying customer who was not causing any sort of disturbance. When finishing his purchase, he was kind and refused his change saying something along the lines of “everyone could use some spare change these days.” The man BARELY left the store before the employee/volunteer started to spray the entire store with Lysol and continue to make a scene out of a simple interaction with a paying customer. Additionally, when I went to return an item to the rack that I decided not to purchase, the same employee/volunteer stopped me in my tracks to ask if I was going to buy that item. When I said no, she went on to say that that item did look like it would be too small on me. While the item was unflattering on me, it was not too small and I would’ve enjoyed leaving the store without comments regarding my body. The comment would’ve been dismissed if it did not seem she went out of her to say I was too large for an item I was considering purchasing.

An overall disappointing experience that I hope isn’t a repeat occurrence. This single time visiting left a bad enough impression to never revisit.

What a hidden gem of a thrift store that is completely volunteer run! I love finding high quality clothes at really low prices on the main strip in Ballard. It is so nice to know all the money goes to help children.

The most insane thrift store prices I’ve ever seen and not in a good way. Came in looking for a pair of basic sandals. One pair was $50. The other was $30. For USED SHOES that were not designer or in any way remarkable.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to shop on the ave! Turn over is quick, so new things all the time, nice quality and the ladies who volunteer there are rad. What a treasure!
