The dream destination for synthesizer musicians and enthusiasts. The most complete collection of synthesizers on display between Tokyo and Berlin featuring keyboard, desktop, modular synthesizers and studio recording equipment. There are also effects pedals, visual synthesizers, relevant books and a back area with vintage synths and pedals.

There are two very large Eurorack cases filled with all kinds of modules that you are welcome to patch on, with cables hanging neatly next to each case. Desktop synths and drum machines sit on the center tables. The latest keyboard synths are mounted to the wall for you to play. The trickiest part is finding a pair of headphones with a 1/4” adapter to audition each instrument. If you bring your own headphones, you can hit the ground running.

The staff is usually very friendly and helpful if you have any questions or curiosities.

I ordered an instrument online, and I used a friend's address and name, because I was staying at this friend's for two weeks. After a misunderstanding during a verification call, I had to go to the physical shop to pick up my order. I got there, and I walked to the cashier. And there I spoke with the guy who "helped" me my order, and after questioning most of the information I gave him regarding my order, he wrote down details from my ID and he gave me my box.

The rest of the people were helpful and polite, and this shop's assortment was nice and available to try. Even so, the interaction with that first guy was far from welcoming, and this is the reason I write this review.

I've shopped with Perfect Circuit for a couple years and after my most recent order I want to take a moment to give them a bit of praise. Briefly mentioning good prices, frequent and consistent sales, and free shipping to my location is great- but I want to point out that the interaction with staff when I've had questions or needed help has been outstanding.

I typically plan my purchases a few months out and sometimes (or maybe often times) I reach out to inquire about future availability, sales schedules, etc... Questions that are not always easy to gauge but they do a good job with it, providing good insight, and they're always honest if they don't have an answer. I've never had an interaction feeling like time wasted, and this is consistent with everyone in the Perfect Circuit support team who's spoken with me.

While I don't generally like to name drop (inevitably, I forget someone) and I certainly don't want to downplay anyone, I want to recognize Lisa for going above and beyond on multiple occasions (none of which were Perfect Circuit's fault). I say this because her prompt professionalism and open communication gives me total piece of mind that if/when potentially big issues crop up, they will be sorted. I can't ask for more.

It was super cool to see the things I spend hours watching on YouTube in real life. If you're in the area you should check it out! Coming from KCMO, it seems like there's so little places to even get hands on on analog gear and modular synths. I didn't know really what to do there other than dick around on some stuff. Very overwhelming (to me) but very cool and fun to see!

Purchased a System 8 and a Hydrasynth Deluxe in June, 2023. Staff is super helpful, no pressure, and very knowledgeable.

It's a little boutique-ish and the prices reflect this, but as a local gear shop, Perfect Circuit can't be beat.
